Brendan Rodgers succeeded the sacked Dalglish in summer 2012 - appointed by the latest owners, Boston-based Fenway Sports Group - and promising early work came to a peak in the second half of the 2013-14 season. Former Manchester City defender Glyn Pardoe - the club's youngest ever debutant - has died at the age of 73.
